THE PULSE CHRISTIAN YOUTH CENTER
INTRODUCTION - In September of 2009 a youth center called The Pulse (“If you have a Pulse, you have a purpose!”)opened in the Spring Park/Emerson Street area.
THE MISSION: To reach out to young people in hopes of changing lives for the better. Kids from this neighborhood have struggles in school and at home. The odds are stacked against them because of circumstances beyond their control. The average kid in this neighborhood doesn’t stand much chance of getting through high school unless they get some help.
THE PROGRAMS: Designed to bring these kids closer to understanding God’s plan for their lives and how they, even while they are young, can make a difference in their family, their neighborhood, and their school. Our hope is that when they understand that they have a calling on their lives, a PURPOSE, they will find the motivation from within to push through the obstacles between them and their dreams and determine to finish strong.
