SPORTS & OUTDOOR FUN: To help counter the effects of today’s internet-surfing, video-gaming culture, The Pulse encourages good clean outdoor fun with swimming, co-ed sports and games that allow for healthy competitive interaction, fresh air, sunshine and plenty of excercise.

Experts recommend that kids get 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity each day. Today’s internet-surfing and video-gaming culture promotes an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle. It’s no secret that exercise benefits every part of the body, including the mind. And exercise can help maintain a healthy weight and decrease the risk of developing certain diseases, including type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, which used to be found mostly in adults, but are becoming more common in kids.

Volunteers are always welcome!
